About Founder Feast

Founder Feast is a founder dinner club where every application is read by a person. Every other Thursday evening a small table of vetted founders and investors meets at a restaurant we picked, in Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. A person reads every application, and membership is $39.99 CAD a month in Vancouver, $39.99 USD in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The people

Who runs it

Two co-founders and no one else between you and the table. We read every application together, we pick every table together, and we host the dinners and the big seasonal nights together. What differs is what each of us brought.

Loic Bachellerie

Co-founder

The builder of the two. Ten years shipping software people use, most of it on Nuxt: five years as CTO of RetireMint, Canada's retirement planning platform, built from nothing with a small team he led; before that a mortgage lender in Toronto and a travel company in Montreal; and Finlo, an investment platform he built alone alongside a full time job. At Founder Feast he built the member platform and the iOS and Android apps, and he writes most of this blog. Based in Kelowna.

Leif Aitken

Co-founder

The operator of the two. Led growth at Fraction, a Vancouver mortgage lender, owning paid acquisition end to end and building the company's marketing and sales platform single handed; before that campus marketing for Red Bull, car sales in Calgary, and three and a half years as a floorhand on drilling rigs, which is where the work ethic comes from. Studied business at FHWien in Vienna. At Founder Feast he runs the restaurants, the seating and the partnerships. Based in Vancouver.

What we are building

Founders, investors, doctors, professors, athletes and artists. Every seat at this table is vetted.

A person reads every application. We match each table by stage, industry and what you are trying to figure out this year, and we tell you who is coming before you sit down. Nobody arrives to pitch, and nobody leaves with a stack of business cards they will never use.

  • You get a seat at every dinner, and you never pay a per-seat charge.
  • We pick your table by hand, so you know the room before you walk in.
  • You keep talking with your table afterwards, in its own chat in the app.
  • You can reach every other vetted member in the app, in all three cities.
